How To Promote Your Bar

One issue of building a bar is how to promote it. Before its opening or even if the construction is still on-going, there should be some ways to make the bar known. Somewhat like prospects saying “Hey a new bar’s gonna open here! Or “Looks good, let’s check out this one.

The following are some of the best promotional ideas there is:

  • Do the grapevine. The word-of-mouth advertising. Have some friends or first 50 customers go to you bar, offer them the best there is and they will do the rest. They can refer other friends and people to go to your bar.

  • Contact a blogger group in the locality and make them your first guest. You know what happens next.

  • Flyers and leaflets may also help, especially when there are treats coupled with them.

  • Postcards with free coupons is also a great idea for a bar opening

  • On the first day, or any important bar days- you can have a live-band that will handle the music jamming.

  • A stand-up comedian will also attract customers. Oftentimes, people who watch stand-up comedians are in groups. That can add-up to your market.

  • Make some drink specials and have them disseminated by many people (back to bloggers).

  • Have one of the brewery companies do an event to you bar. This is a great opportunity on both your end and theirs.

  • Create an every Saturday open mic. For sure, customers would like that very much to release all the stress they have from work.

  • A week before opening, you can put up a signage for the people to be aware and they will start to talk about it and possibly would pull a group of customers.

These are just helpful ideas to promote a bar. Still the best way of promoting a bar is great food and drinks, great bar music, great bar design, and great service all in all.
